Job Summary:

As a Team Leader, the employee will provide supervisory, administrative and communication support to staff assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

· TheTeamLeaderisexpectedtofunctionasamemberoftheteamwithregardtoroutineassignmentswhilealsoperforming specialassignmentsandotherdutiesasrequested.

· Possessesabilitytoperformanytaskwithinteam.

· TheTeamLeadersisresponsibleforactingasaresourceforinformationtoallteammembersaswellasinquiresfromotherareas.

· Responsibleforescalating issuesrelatedtoprocess improvementsorother issues.

· Assistssupervisorwithreportingandtesting,includingproductivityreportingandsystemtesting.

· Quality Assurance should be conducted on a routine basis with feedback anddocumentationgiventothesupervisor.

· BasedonQAofnewemployees,makesarecommendationtosupervisoras towhennewemployeeisreadytoworkindependently.

· Providetrainingtoteam membersasnecessary.

· Assistssupervisor with the development of policies and procedures, includingteamprocedure manual.

· OnoccasiontheTeamLeaderwillberequiredtoattendmeetingseitherwithoronbehalfofthesupervisor.ItisexpectedtheTeamLeaderwouldrepresentthedepartmentprofessionally,participatein discussionand bewellpreparedregardingthetopic.

· Intheeventofthesupervisor’sabsence,theTeamLeadermaybeaskedtoprovidesupervisorysupport.

· Specialassignmentsasrequested.

· RepresentsthedepartmentandtheUniversityinaprofessionalmanneratalltimes.Thiswillinvolvedetailedandprofessionalverbalandwrittencommunicationwithphysicians,patients,administrationandothermanagementpersonnel,inatimelymanner.

· InteractswithUTMBadministrationwhenquestionsorissuesarise.

· Practiceseffectivetimemanagementandalwaysdemonstratesacceptableproductivityandmeetsdepartmentaccountaccuracystandards.

· Successfullycompletesdepartmentaltrainingcoursesandannualrefresher courses.

· StrictcompliancewithregardtowrittenpoliciesandproceduresforUTMBaswellasRCMandadherencetoallrequiredstandardsanddeadlines.

· Authorizesphysicianchargesandapprovesjournalvoucherswithinspecified limits.

Salary Range:

Actual salary commensurate with experience.
